MATH TUTORING FAQS
HOW DOES A TUTORING SUBSCRIPTION WORK?
Once you subscribe, you can text in (or call/video if you have the deluxe package) when you get stuck on your work. You will get a text back with tips, next steps, etc. from a highly qualified tutor. It is like texting a friend when you get stuck on your homework.
I TEXTED INÂ A QUESTION, WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK?
Between the hours of 2pm-9pm PST, you are guaranteed to receive a response within the hour, though it will most likely be within minutes. If you reach out outside of that time window, you will receive a response at your tutor's earliest convenience or at 2pm.
I SIGNED UP ONLINE, WHEN CAN I START?
Once you have signed up, simply complete the Registered Student Contact Form, which should arrive in your inbox right after your purchase, and then you can start right away!
If you don't see the form in your inbox, check your spam folder or visit the Contact page to reach out.
WHAT DO I DO IF I AM WORRIED MY CHILD WILL JUST ASK FOR ALL THE ANSWERS?
Don't worry, our tutors do not do homework for students. Responses to questions will guide each student to the answer themselves or help them to get unstuck. This service supports learning, and as such, students will still have to do all the thinking and actual work behind each problem themselves.
WHAT DO THE ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS LOOK LIKE?
One-on-one sessions are an hour in length and take place on zoom. Students will dictate what the session contains, anywhere from homework support to test prep to conceptual review.
